Discipleship
New Crossing Church offers discipleship for those interested in deepening their spiritual relationship with God. “Growth” and “relationship” are not one-time events, but an ongoing process. As you discover who God is, how much you’re loved by Him, and that He desires to interact with you on a regular, personal basis, you will also start to truly know yourself. There is more to life than just going to work and going about your daily routine. In the Bible, Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full…” (John 10:10b) and when He spoke of a full life, it wasn’t one that’s just busy and full of activity, but rather, full of experience and purpose.
- Have you had questions about God but don’t know where to begin?
- Have you heard Christians say, “I have found a personal relationship with God” and want to understand that more?
- Have you ever wanted to know how to read the Bible?
- Do you want to learn more about how one hears God’s voice and who is the Holy Spirit?
- How about investigating what gifts God has placed in you?
- Have you been going to church for a while but feel like you’re stuck or not growing in your faith? Or maybe you don’t go to church and are not sure why it matters?
- Do you want more joy or peace in your life?
Discipleship is designed to provide encouragement, support and a safe environment. We will maintain confidentiality as you investigate God and your relationship with Him. Having a more formal but personal relationship encourages us to meet with a focus and purpose ~ to seek God, to learn and to grow together. Jesus speaks to the flow of this type of relationship in John 15:15, “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” How would your life change if you knew that Jesus wants to be your friend and not just your Savior?

Testimonies to share
So far I’ve had such a wonderful experience with the women’s ministry at New Crossing Church. From the get go everyone has been so warm and kind to me. I could feel the kindness and judgement free atmosphere right away.
It wasn’t long after I started going, the doors opened for the women’s Bible study once a week. Of course I went! Plus there was childcare for my toddler! Even with the current events in the world and in person meetings not allowed anymore, we were able to do the Bible study on Zoom which was nice!
I started meeting with one of the women’s leaders weekly and from there, my knowledge and mind had greatly expanded and my relationship with Jesus Christ. Everything led up to me getting baptized last week. I highly recommend meeting with one of the ladies from the Women’s Ministry to help your relationship with God grow – which in turn helps you overall as a person.
