Youth Ministry

I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener.” (John 15:1)

Our Youth Ministry serves middle and high schoolers (6th to 12th grade).  Our heart for the students who come continues to be to encourage them to make their faith their own and that its okay to have questions, concerns and even doubts. We encourage them to bring those questions up so we can help them understand even more about their faith.  Most of the students (if not all) have grown up in a Christian home and we know that at some point they each have to really decide that this faith is theirs, not their parents or their churches, but their very own.  We also want our youth to have a sense of community.  We value teaching them the Bible, praying together and having fun!

Love God

  • Praying as a group to Him
  • Learning His truths

For our teaching time this fall we have gone through several different topics.  We spent time going through New Crossing’s vision, reading various chapters in the Bible as well as have a couple of people come and share their testimony.  Our teaching time is laid back with time for thought and discussion.  Our discussions sometimes bring up questions that we delve into further at a future time.  For instance, one week the question of “how do we know the Bible is real” came up.  Instead of trying to answer it in the few minutes we had left of group we pulled in Pastor Craig the next week to help answer that question.

Love One Another

  • Enjoying our time together as group
  • Encouraging one another through conversation and prayers
  • Taking interest in each others lives

And Go Bless Others

Youth Ministry is really great about BLESSING OTHERS through service.  In the past, they have willingly served by cleaning up the landscape outside the church, hosting a Kid Free Night Out for parents at New Crossing Church and decorating the church for Christmas.  These young men and women are great examples of how we can GO, BLESS OTHERS!

Youth Ministry Meets

most Sundays after church until 1:30 pm.  Lunch provided.  Curriculum follows The Story topics for that week.  See calendar for dates.
