Join us on Thursday nights for a series of topics designed to help equip us for real life. These will be led by different leaders each night. Sign up for one, sign up for all or anywhere in between!
Sept. 26 – Coming Alongside Traumatized People – Led by Tami Fleming
Many people who are homeless or living on the edge have experienced significant trauma. Their responses may be unpredictable, even when we are offering care and compassion. It’s easy to be intimidated or fearful and not want to be involved. Tami Fleming is the Executive Director of Shelter from the Storm Ministries. She has years of experience working with people who are homeless, at risk being homeless or who have experienced lots of trauma in life. Tami is going to help us understand healthy ways we can come alongside people who are hurting. Get ready to be unintimidated!

Come and learn about God’s heart for the nations. Discover God’s global purpose for the church, then zoom in on refugees and how we can reach out to the nations that live within minutes of us.
Oct. 10 – Playing Hide and Seek with God – Led by Traci Ottens
Have you heard or felt God coming close and then realized that instead of welcoming His presence, you run and hide? In this session we will identify the ways we hide from God, why we hide from God and what is God’s perspective of the things that cause us to hide.
Oct. 17 – Songs and Swords – Led by Karen Stewart
We are called to “Go, be a blessing!”, but we do not go alone. We go together in praise of our God. Join us as we add the tools of praise and worship to our spiritual tool belt using Psalm 149:6: “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand.”
Oct. 24 – Breaking the Cycle – Led by Pam Meyer
“Sometimes I feel like I don’t belong.” “People don’t listen to me.” “I wonder if people think I’m weird.” If you have ever thought along these lines or have similar negative thoughts, join us where we will learn to break the cycle of lies, isolation and loneliness with truth, acceptance and relationship.
