Ryan Wieland

Ryan and His wife Cecily got married in 2013 and have 2 beautiful daughters; Shiloh and Eden. Ryan was born and raised in Chandler, Arizona, and Cecily was born and raised in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. They met on an Alaskan cruise and dated long distance for 4 years! They enjoy cribbage, cheezy but heartwarming television, reading, the outdoors, and most of all spending time together as a family. Ryan also has about 10,000 hobbies he likes from hacky sack, to music, to philosophy, to running, to building things (is excited for eternity!).

Ryan is passionate about relational ministry. He believes The mission of the Church (and individuals) is to glorify God by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with the whole world in order to have them enter into a redeeming relationship with God, one another, themselves, and the natural world. This four arm picture of ultimate relational peace (God, others, internal, nature) is “shalom.” We achieve this end picture of shalom through the vision of New Crossing: Love God (Sunday Worship), Love One Another (Small Groups), and Go to Bless Others (Serving).

Ryan received his Bachelor of Biblical Studies from Grand Canyon University and his Master of Divinity with an emphasis on counseling from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. In both, he received high honors and graduated Cum Laude. Before coming to New Crossing Church, he served as a full time Bible based counselor for 2 years, as a full-time pastor for 5-years, and a bi-vocational pastor for 3 years.
