CMDA Bridging the Gap
End of Life
Sunday November 12, noon to 1:30
Option to stay until 2:30 to complete Advance Directive Forms
This workshop is important for all of you. Because you are all going to die. And looking at most of your ages, people you love are going to die before you and they may need your help.
We will look at important things related to spiritual principles, such as:
- What scripture says about death – for those who follow Christ and for those who don’t
- Physician/assisted suicide and euthanasia
- Attitudes and care for people whose lives are vulnerable or nearing the end
And we’ll look at very practical things that are important to understand, such as:
- Advance Directives and Durable Power of Attorney
- Use of artificial hydration and feeding
- Use of CPR and respirators
- Fear related to end of life
- Palliative care and hospice
Don’t wait for a big emergency. Make life easier for your loved ones and for you by being informed, having conversations, and putting together some simple documents.
Option to stay for an extra hour to complete Advance Directive Forms that you can copy and give to medical providers.
Lunch will be provided for this life group – please bring $5 for pizza (gluten free options will be provided).
