Ministry Plan
Our vision is an extension of the church’s vision. We want the children to love God and know they are loved by God. We want them to begin their own relationship with him. We want the kids to love one another and develop lasting relationships. We want to help them consider how they may bless others and provide intentional opportunities for them to do so.
We value:
- Children as part of the body of Christ.
- Knowing God, having an accurate perception of God’s character and attributes.
- Knowing God’s Word.
- Fostering a growing lifelong relationship with God.
- Respect for teachers and one another.
- Forming relationships with each other.
- Developing an unselfish attitude in service.
- Having fun through different learning styles.
We want:
- Children to know God and his Word through Bible stories, basic doctrines and memory verses.
- To provide age-appropriate worship and prayer experiences.
- To create a safe and respectful atmosphere within which relationships can develop.
- To create opportunities for children to be aware of others (e.g. through meeting our missionaries) or to serve (e.g. through service projects).
Kids Connection
We offer Kids Connection for age 4 through 5th grade. Children sit with their parents during worship and then leave for Kids Connection in the community room. There is a team of teachers who usually teach once a month using a Bible-based curriculum. We try to use several different types of activities to connect with different learning styles.
Nursery
We offer nursery for babies and toddles through age 3. The nursery is equipped with toys appropriate for babies and toddlers that are cleaned on a regular basis.
